Orders & shipping
When will my order ship?
Most of our pieces are made to order right here in our shop in Gilbert, Arizona, so they typically ship within 2 to 5 business days. Some items are pre-made and ready to go, and those usually ship the next business day. Pre-orders are the exception and ship on the date listed on the product page.
How do pre-orders work?
Some of our handmade pieces are sold as limited pre-orders, usually in runs of fifty. You pay when you order, and the item is made and shipped on the date shown on its product page. Once a run sells out, it is gone, so pre-ordering is the surest way to get one.
Do you ship outside the US?
We do not ship internationally directly from our website at this time. We do have an Etsy shop and can ship outside the US through Etsy. Email us at hello@creepymugs.com and we can discuss your order or set up a custom Etsy listing for you to purchase.
What are your business hours?
Our normal hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm Arizona time. We are closed on weekends and holidays, so anything that comes in over a weekend is handled the next business day.
Products & care
What is the difference between your pottery mugs and your printed mugs?
Our Deneen Pottery mugs are hand-thrown stoneware made in Minnesota, with the design worked into the mug itself. Our printed mugs are quality ceramic with original full-color artwork applied by hand in our Arizona shop. Both are made in the USA. The pottery mugs are heavier collector pieces, and the printed mugs are a great everyday option at a friendlier price.
Are your mugs dishwasher safe?
Yes, all of our mugs are dishwasher safe. For the longest-lasting finish, especially on our printed designs, we recommend a mild detergent and the top rack. Hand washing is gentler still if you want to baby your favorites.
Are your designs original?
Yes. Our artwork is original and created for Creepy Mugs, not licensed clip art or stock graphics. Much of it is inspired by folklore, cryptids, and classic horror, drawn in our own style.
Why are your prices higher than a typical mug?
Because the product is genuinely different. We use high-quality materials, and the majority of our mugs are handmade in the USA. We would rather sell a smaller number of pieces we can stand behind than a pile of cheap, disposable ones. You are paying for a mug built to be kept, not replaced.
Custom orders & returns
Do you do custom designs or orders?
Yes, we love custom work. Email us at hello@creepymugs.com to talk through what you have in mind. A small art fee usually applies to custom orders to cover our design time, and we will go over all of that with you before anything is final.
What is your return policy?
If something is not right, we want to make it right. Most items can be returned within 30 days in resellable condition. See our Returns & Refunds policy for the full details, and please email us before sending anything back.
The company
Do you have a brick-and-mortar store?
Not yet. For now we are online only, run out of our warehouse in Gilbert, Arizona. We are considering opening a small storefront at the warehouse down the road, so keep an eye on our emails and social channels for news on that.
