Our Story

Creepy Mugs started with a simple, slightly unhinged belief: spooky season should never have to end, and the mug in your hand is as good a place as any to keep it going.

We are a small, independent shop based in Gilbert, Arizona, run by people who genuinely love this stuff. Horror, folklore, cryptids, holiday monsters, the things that go bump and the legends that refuse to die. We got tired of choosing between drinkware that was either tasteful and forgettable or cheap and disposable, so we started making the kind of mugs we actually wanted on our own shelves.

What we make

Everything we sell is original and made in the USA. Our handmade collector mugs are hand-thrown and glazed by Deneen Pottery in St. Paul, Minnesota, then finished with artwork drawn just for us. Our printed mugs are made on quality ceramic and finished by hand right here in Arizona, and our tumblers are laser-engraved in our own shop. No mass-produced clip art, no faded prints, no corners cut.

We would rather make fifty mugs people love than fifty thousand nobody remembers.

Why we do it this way

Most of our designs come from legend and folklore. Krampus, Mothman, the cryptids and ghouls that have been unsettling people for generations, all reimagined in our own style. Many of our runs are small and made to order, so a design that sells out tends to stay gone. That part is on purpose. We would rather make something worth keeping than something you forget in the back of a cabinet.
